Trenchless technologies have a wide range of applications beneficial to mining projects. Horizontal dewatering of existing mines, dewatering of future mines and water interception curtains can greatly reduce water inflow and associated costs such as lost time, reduced production and water processing costs. Mines can be degasified effectively to allow for continuation or to advance into previously unsafe locations.
Entec uses horizontal dewatering and remediation wells to help achieve increased water table draw-down and increased water production. Large diameter technologies such as microtunnelling can be used for ore extraction in locations where manned entry is not possible due to space constraints or safety concerns. We’ve used trenchless means to install power generation pen stocks and water intakes in rivers, and we’ve facilitated drainage of lakes and ponds through trenchless outfalls.
Entec has completed several installations in support of mining operations. The success of these projects resulted in cost and operational savings for mine operators.
